Meet You in Phuket
Singapore Airlines SQ 724 departed Singapore at roughly 7 a.m. and we landed in Phuket at 8 a.m. (1 hour time difference). Melissa and Derek had transportation to their hotel included, so once Melissa and I figured out that the rental car counter was in the domestic terminal, they left with their driver. After nearly killing a woman on a moped (Surprise…they drive on the left here!) and circling the airport several times, I pulled into the international terminal parking structure and walked the family up to the rental van. We regrouped and entered the maelstrom that is driving through Phuket. A bit over an hour later, we arrived at the Hyatt Regency Phuket Resort where Melissa and Derek were staying. We hung out until the 4 p.m. check-in time at our rental.

About 30 minutes later, John and Sabrina were at our front door and the moment 22 years in the making had finally arrived!
After a tearful greeting, we drove to Anantara Layan Phuket Resort for dinner.
