Another Day in Paradise
John and Sabrina had planned an island tour for Friday, but we were too exhausted. Instead, Amanda, Karina, and I found a great vegan cafe just a minute away from our rental.
Now this is where you type a blog!
After catching up on some much-needed relaxation, John and Sabrina took us to Laguna Beach to watch the sunset.
Sunset skimboarder
After watching the sunset we drove to the nearby night market by Bang Tao Beach.
Karina and I decided it was time to try a durian.
Karina thought it was similar in texture to an avocado.
I would agree. Interestingly, I don’t think it smelled bad at all. I will add, though, that the taste lingered in my mouth for an hour or so. Very interesting fruit!
The durian was alright, but the Thai Coconut Pancakes were exceptional. The three flavors were the original coconut, taro, and banana. All three were delicious!
We eventually all settled in for some street food delicacies.
Will found some local Thai craft beer.
We saw these when we were already stuffed, but they looked amazing—slices of potato fried on a stick.
John and Sabrina really liked the mai tais at this restaurant, so we ended the night with some libations and fun and lively conversation.
