Bodmin

Life is difficult. Once we truly know that life is difficult—once we truly understand and accept it—then life is no longer difficult. Because once it is accepted, the fact that life is difficult no longer matters.
— Scott Peck, The Road Less Traveled

If only I could truly learn to accept and live by that quote. If only!

(Note: Chronologically, this should have been published before the Doc Martin post.)

The morning sun pours through the windows as we say goodbye to our cottage in Penzance.

Wexi enjoys the warmth of the sun’s rays.

The cottage had a musty smell we could never quite abate (it’s hard to open windows enough in the winter), the WiFi was complete *&^%$, water backed up in the shower pan, and turning from the single lane alleyway into the even narrower courtyard was taxing every single time. Despite these frustrations, we enjoyed our time in Penzance and the unusually sunny morning made it hard to leave.

One final reverse out of the Abbey Place courtyard.

Plenty of room on the right…

Room to spare on the left…

Just don’t back through the neighbor’s front door…and we’re off!

Welcome to Bodmin, Cornwall

An hour later and we arrived at our new place in Bodmin. Our new cottage is on a working farm where we found a massive amount of wide-open parking—so refreshing!
